a whole lot of stuff$BlogItemTitle$>
my parents just got back from taiwan. im so jealous. there's SO MUCH shopping there, according to my parents..and cheap too. u can get a decent top for $4/$5 SGD!
here are the things they got for me: hair clips (which my mum gushes over, but i dun think its that great), a long-sleeved mickey mouse logo top and a nice black shirt with silver n gold lettering. not bad. im quite satisfied. i've learn the trick in asking my parents (who are untrendy) to get things for me. i must give very descriptive instructions. never say "buy me a shirt". u must say "buy me a shirt with words/ lettering and no pictures please". im so happy i succeeded in giving good directions.
i tendered my resignation today. tmr's my last day at minlaw. i've enjoyed every moment there especially when i know i've done my best to help those poor bankrupts.
one more thing. yday during bible study, bocheng and i got into a discussion about LOVE. issues like "is love rational?" "how do we define love?" very interesting. and it was quite hilarious. cuz every time we try and attack the issue, we would come back and say, if we define love as such, then we're conditioning love and that will contradict the unrestricted, unconditional nature that love possess.
i think its not fair to judge acts of love because love in itself is an emotion. it may be incomprehensible to others but absolutely pure and simple to the one who's feeling it. its sad for one to be criticized for loving, but even sadder for the critic because it shows two things. 1. that the critic does not understand the depths of love. he's limited by his own experience and knowledge of what love is. 2. the critic's selfish nature is protruded. he thinks everyone else is alike him, unable to love unconditionally and willingly.
more thoughts about love tmr. gdnite.
