you-to-me bear (sorry i didn't name it): enzie. i remember why u bought the bear for my birthday- cuz im too practical and u want to buy me something thats impractical. that's why u're my bestest fren. u know me so well n u know that i won't flip even if u buy me something that's not on the wishlist or something that's predictable. i hope the next few months in santa barbara would be fun and meaningful for u. don't forget me!

mickey: yuxin, i was so touched that u bought the mickey for me although we were all broke. thanks for making a statement of friendship with that gift and disagreeing with "u can't always have what u want".

its quite ironic how i count down to Christmas in the middle of the year. e.g. may/june, i'd be yearning for christmas. when it's around the corner, im kind of oblivious to it, other than writing christmas cards which is quite tiring.

there's nothing on tv so im watching the singapore vs vietnam semi-finals match. unbelievable

one week at anntic. has life changed?
perspectives have, but i think one thing has not changed. God is good.

one thing about vcf that makes it so different and close to my heart is the people. people who are willing to listen to you without judging you. people who are willing to share about their own lives even in the most intimate aspects. people who desire God's heart. people who testify about God's wonders in their lives. people who appreciate life and life's purpose. people who want to find meaning in God. people who can play together, worship together, read together.

of cuz, im merely listing the positive aspects. in every organization, there are differences. but like what a Christian writer wrote, the unity of the church is created by the agreement on fundamental doctrines and the willingness to respect secondary differences.

i've been blessed with friends from all walks of my life who are very dear to me, i think those are definitely God's grace upon me. Today, the theme of my personal retreat is "thanksgiving", so i just want to give a shoutout to all my wonderful and lovely friends: Thanks for being my friend and making me feel special :)

this is what happened on wednesday and thursday.

WEDNESDAY: after spending nearly 2 hours at immigration building, i finally got my new passport. according to my queue ticket, there were 210 people ahead of me in the queue. it was OMG.

then i met samuel ling the half-clown (half only cuz his brother was not with him) and huiling for afternoon tea at j.co donuts.

and then i went off to fes for anntic meeting, held concurrently with the BSLs meeting. look how the BSLs are all smiling. its an honour and pleasure to serve the Lord!
while walking to raffles city, i saw some christmas lightings. :)


THURSDAY!
shirlene and i braved the storm to go fox warehouse sale. she had told me to plan something exciting as that was the first day after her exams.
i convinced her to go kovan with me in search of food. we ended up at sakae sushi for their tea time buffet.

FRIDAY: ran around doing anntic stuff and then met willy for afternoon desserts at nydc, holland village. :)

i was webcamming bea just now and her comp hung.

ok quick post....

Exams ended yesterday at 3.30pm. OVERJOYED!

watched body of lies with a huge bunch of law pple, including my dorea clique and my library gang.
then went for dinner at crystal jade and arcade. i suck at driving games. i keep crashing.
went home, did anntic stuff. called bsls up, super apologetic abt calling them so late. slept at 12+

next morning, woke up at 6.30am!! woken up by my grandma who is an early bird, yes- earlier than me. went to play a bit of piano.
started doing anntic stuff again-allocating pple into workshops.
went for a swim and clouds-gazing with grandma. (wonderful moments watching time pass me by)
did some more stuff for anntic, then went out to buy some ingredients for making chinese wine for grandma n for a trim of my hair.
lunch, then went out to meet en. had dim sum at imperial treasure, then shopped around for heels from taka to far east. did not buy anything. went into THAT cd shop and bought 2 josh groban, 1 il divo. now i own all the josh groban CDs. :) :) :)

very tired...going to sleep. gdnight pple.
