just an update

okie this is just an update on what happened over the week. as usual, my slacking includes very random activities that has kept me busy for the past 3 mths! unbelievable....i dun want my holiday to end...

this is on monday. kaishi and i went to watch harry potter with sk and we celebrated his bday at casuarina prata house. the stupid prata pple only filled half of our order and forgot the other half. we waited so long dat our prata were already cold by the time the prata finally arrived.
this is sk and his "cake" which he didnt eat.

sorry, this is not in chronological order. this was yesterday (friday). i met en and elise for dinner - i had my dinner already but i just ate some sushi and shared the dessert. we were at ichiban where the queue was super long. i think we waited abt 45 mins.

went smu to withdraw. i thought they would ask me to surrender my card so i took a picture of it. but now it seems like i get to keep it.

back to monday. my family (except for my younger bro who had to go to school) went goodwood park hotel for buffet lunch. somehow we ended up at botanical gardens for a stroll after that. boy, the place has really changed! i think i haven't been there for at least 10 years even though i always pass by it on the bus. they added some water features...now i dunno whether the park looks natural or artificial. but its still a therapeutic and quiet place.

the water lilies pond is so muddy...i saw this tourist taking pictures of it. i wonder wat beauty he sees in dat dirty pond.

some kindergarten kids having their field trip at the botanical gardens. unfortunately, there was a slight drizzle and they started donning on their raincoats.

thurs: bizad cg core came my place for a meeting....it was a spiritual meeting, to build up the core's spiritual direction for the coming sem.

to-do list

ennnn i miss u!

while en's gone....some things have happened and once again, i've chosen nus.

okie..the whole point of blogging today is to make a to-do list..like elise. sorry darling, i really dun like clubbing. i get bored too easily n i wouldnt wanna make ur night horrible and boring.

things to do before school starts! (on 13 aug!)
1. go ikea to eat meatballs and help them to clear their stock during their clearance sale. haha.
2. do my 2nd painting
3. brush up on piano - go esplanade lib to photocopy sightreading material
4. exercise more
5. read more books
6. sell my textbooks and buy the needed textbooks for next sem (im so happy there's no bidding)
7. go out with kap pact, huijie
8. watch more movies- dvds - if u have something nice, plz pass it to me.

cant think of anymore.....okie dats it. if u wanna do something with me, u can add it to my list via tagboard

a dramatic 2 days

got back from freshmen teambuilding camp on sun..will blog more about it later.

anyway now im damn sian cuz sun has suddenly decided to offer me interview in which i turned down. then they decided that they might offer me a scholarship if i prove myself at the interview. aiyah...im too tired to fight this battle of proving myself at sun. i've already accepted the fact dat im going ums. i wish the matter can just rest, even though im very touched by wat the deans at sun bizad has done to convince sun law of my abilities.

wish me luck for the interview later @10.30am. will blog about it more later...

the little adventure day

okie had a little adventure yday...i wanted to go out to buy sandals to wear for camp. (slippers are not good for running-around) so i was thinking whether i should go toa payoh central or serangoon central and in the end chosed the latter cuz i need to collect my contact lenses there. i couldnt be bothered to wait for the buses so i took my bro's 2nd bike (yes he has 2 bikes) n cycled there.

after i was on the road (footpath actually), i realized dat his bike has gears dat i dunno how to use, so i called him for advice. and then when i got to the shops, i realized dat the bike doesn't have dat piece of metal dat can make the bike stand still...so i had to lean it against some racks n constantly keep an eye on it so dat nobody steals the bike. the bike also doesnt have a bell! i cycled through the school zone n it was so scary. my balance wasnt really good..i think the bike is a bit too powerful n kinda hard to control, i almost crashed into some school girls....

and when i got there, i saw the pasar malam. haven been to one for a long time..always bugged my dad to go with me, but he always say okie and then we forget abt it.

bought some snacks for my family....

after buying everything i need, i headed home...

in the meantime, see the blue bag on the left? dats the bag carrying contact lenses...
the black bag on the right carries the cheap sandals....u can only find such cheap stuff in heartland shops...

so this is the road home...

after abt 2 hrs of piano practice at night...i went out for ice cream to ice-cube at serangoon gardens...they had a really cool neon blue table top! dats why its called ice-cube.

my chocolate rumba sundae! we talked rubbish for an hour plus then went home...

monday

nothing much to update except that transformers - the movie that tom would chop his hand off if huimin watches it - was surprisingly good. okie, not that surprising cuz many pple have given me positive reviews about it. the storyline had a few twists that made it not so cliche and the tension and drama was sustaining. so if u're looking for a good movie, u can go for that. or else, u can always come n watch nancy drew with me. (i think none of my frens are keen on dat, but i insist on re-living my childhood)

after watching transformers with ryan, joanna and her 2 brothers, shirlene, liwei, shikun and eliseee, sk and i went to pick up tom at his place. his room is filled with books n notes - unpacked. sk and i were disgusted at how dirty his pillow is. "there's some kind of aura around ur pillow" --- sk.

after that, we went holland v for a drink. the hawker centre at holland v was close, left only a few stores so it was okie to sit in there cuz there's no smoke surrounding the eating area. we couldn't go nus yet cuz going early will make the surprise not too surprising - it wasn't that BIG of a surprise anyway.

so we went to visit them at rag and surprised juli: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

random pics of my summer hols

this pic is taken during FOC...the few hours i was there. this is some OG's mascot. we think its really cute!

i had dinner with huiling, michelle, sam and charles...a really odd mixture of pple but anyway we were all there to provide emotional support for sam who went through a rough patch for a day.

my latest painting...this is the sketchy version of it. i've actually completed it, but haven taken a good photo of it yet.

i went orchard alone, cant rmb to do wat. buy some stuff i think. its arts festival on orchard road so they had this BIG-eared pple walking around, doing funny things.

here's kaishi and i at youth camp 4D 2 or 3 weeks ago...my shirt says, who makes the sun goes shining?

last tues i had lunch at my auntie's place..she has a yong tau fu stall at amara hotel foodcourt. this is my baby nephew...he's a really guai and quiet baby. he didnt disturb his parents or us throughout our time there. he just sat quietly on his baby chair or on his granny/parents/aunties/grandaunt's lap....

and 2 weeks ago, bizad cg had our retreat at swissotel. our rooms were on the 54th level! magnificent view! this is the view from our hotel room.....totally spectacular! probably the best view of singapore...
