Away

yeah i know i haven't been blogging. sometimes i treat posting photos on facebook as a form of blogging. its tedious and tiring.

i was asked to write about my thoughts on living in a foreign land. living in vancouver definitely reaffirmed my perspective on my desired lifestyle. the slow pace of life, the balance of work and play, the smiling and friendly people that you meet on the streets, all these are things that i love about vancouver. however, i hate the thief who was greedy and stole my wallet. and so, my thoughts at this point in time are not exactly objective. in every city, there are things u love and things you dislike. i'm wondering if a liberal society necessarily means more crime, more vices, greater tolerance and acceptance of people who are unconventional: the homeless, the homosexuals, etc. With the beauty that I see comes the ugly side of things.

Are these things what i have to tolerate and accept as part of the culture if I choose to live in a place which gives me a balanced lifestyle? I feel so safe in Singapore, and perhaps I'm too comfortable (you can't go anywhere that's safer than in Singapore). But one thing for sure, I'm not satisfied with the rapid lifestyle, the daily mad rush and endless responsibilities awaiting me.

LOSS

I'm someone who is extremely bad dealing with loss. Loss of my handphone, loss of my loved ones, and now, loss of my wallet.

A creep stole it from inside my bag. I'm so upset. I lost close to $860 sgd because he spent on my credit cards. Unbelievable. I'm angry and upset with myself. I shouldn't have gone out on that cold and rainy Saturday. I should have gone home after going to the park. I shouldnt have walked around the mall. I should have gone home early because the flu was setting in.

I'm sooo so so sad :(((((((((
