plans!
pardon me for the lack of updates. here i am!
a few things have taken place while i'm away.
firstly, elise and pan are home!!!!! can't wait for our annual summer sleepover and big cookout.
secondly, elise has gotten a job!!! YAY. to great lunches and dinners, lol.
thirdly, my plans for this week!
yesterday (thursday) after class, a bunch of us went to eat claypot rice at temple street, yau ma tei. then i had a peanut paste with tang yuan for dessert. that was SO good.
today (friday), i stayed in my dorm to sleep and do my international finance report.
saturday i'm going on the school cultural tour to North New Territories. we're oing to visit hong kong wetland park and the skyplaza.
sunday i'm going macau with steph n wanlin.
monday i'm going ocean park!
tuesday: school starts :( finance report is due.
wed: finance quiz
thurs: management quiz

my laptop crashed
last weekend was a bit of a down weekend for me. i don't know why. maybe a combination of homesickness and other unpleasant events.
the worst thing was that on monday, when i was shopping in mongkok (and had spent quite a lot of money :(, my roommate called to report that my laptop had crashed for no reason. that was the tipping point for me.
while steph was trying on shoes at the nth shoe shop we came to, i stoned on the low cushion stools and prayed for the recovery of my laptop. i remembered how pastor jimmy prayed for the printer that refused to start up for him. the prayer didn't make the printer churn out paper all of a sudden, but it did calm him down. my prayer made me understand that i CAN survive without my laptop.
when i got back, i asked evan to msg wilson to ask the rest of the 66 ntu EEE students if any one of them had the fujitsu recovery disk. and someone had it! so my laptop was salvaged in one day. thank God for that!
