my birthday dinner
5th April, Wednesday
today was kinda interesting and exciting. for work, i researched on the custody case for JS, did some stuff for DYL (another fam law case) and then ran through the custody case with JS. i've been piled with much more stuff to do for dat case. hmm. but dat keeps me happy. yay.
at 6pm, there was the in-house negotiation course for nus students. it was their exam and they had to negotiate based on a Sales & Marketing Agreement and a Memorandum. i kinda got lost and confused halfway, stupid me.
BN bought us lunch at Boat Quay's Southbank, a Thai restaurant. quite good food, but they were rather unhappy about the service. n there were ants in VIO's drink. but it was a good lunch. we had a happy time talking abt how guys are always too immature for their age and how they drool over girls' boops when its merely lumps of fats. met an intern- jenny from france. she's vietnamnese-french. kinda cool. having been brought up in france, i guess she's exposed to a very liberal culture. so when we were on the topic of our first bfs, i was rather shocked when she asked "u mean the first bf i went to bed with?" i guess im very conservative. but im getting used to such liberalism.
on to my bday dinner. when i got to ps, i was shocked to know dat there were actually more pple than i expected. liyi, suzy, sam, pan, huiling n en...n renyu n some other njc pple who had met there earlier. we had dinner at cafe cartel after much deliberation. its nice to just eat and chat with your frens. we talked about all the craziest and boring (mostly from sam) stuff we could think of. and i speculated that one of our fren is a schizophrenic. its kinda scary, but i cant find any logical explanation for her behavior besides her having a split personality. this is getting freaky.
anyway, they gave me great presents! there was the zara skirt dat i totally loved and a box of chocolates (thanks huiling for making it so nice!) n then en gave me a personal present: this damn nice notebook from paperchase. good choice en. im gonna use it for uni so dat i will remember u everyday. n i really think u're going USA so...im gonna miss u so much EVERYDAY!!
it was a great birthday dinner. just the way i like it. not too grand or formal. no big hoo-haa. just a simple meal, great company and nice presents. i love everyone of u who came!! (yes, even sam) hahhaa..
that sums up the wonderful day i had. i shall go to sleep smiling.
