lots of emotions stirred within me on my last day at drew.

after half a bottle of wine from the night before, i was quite shocked that i woke up earlier than usual and didnt get any hangover. i didnt puke, unlike wat wei-jie predicted. i actually woke up becuz i was feeling hungry. after cooking some noodles and going through the morning's papers, i got to the office- for my last day at drew.

i spent the morning clearing work. finished off with legal research for the custody case and mitigating factors for our corporate client's criminal charge. all JS' cases. PY kinda laid off on me for the past 2 weeks cuz she's probably too busy familiarizing herself with IP work. i went down to give JS the research i've done, returned some extra copies of court papers and a few books. (all i could manage to carry on one trip)

eng cher (sarah's mentor) brought us out for lunch to this jap ramen restaurant at china square. good food. she's really damn nice. i didnt even work for her but she brought me and vim along cuz we're acquainted. damn nice of her.

when we got back to the office, i started to clear my folder on the desktop, pack the papers on my table, stationery, etc. then sarah and i got called to become postwomen. we took a cab down to nus to slot invitation cards to a recruitment tea organized by drew for 3rd year nus law students. when we took a cab back, i made sarah let me give directions to the taxi driver cuz i might never get to say "ocean towers" again. boohoo.

when we got back, it was insane. we had to pack our stuff, clear our tables...sarah went to give eng cher a thank-you gift- an easter chick from the both of us. then with tons of JS' books in hand, we went down to 9th floor to give him the thank-you card i made for him and return the tons of fam law books he passed to me for reference. the 1st thing he said to me was, "i have more stuff for you to do. you've been retained for an indefinite period of time." i was like WATEVER. lame. and then he gave me a present! a book by his fave author. i know its his fave author cuz he made a list of his fav authors for me during dinner the night before. wah, he's really damn nice lor. i really didnt expect a present from him. interns go in and out of the firm everyday. its really nice of him to get a present specially for me. sarah kept saying "he's so nice!" haha.

we went up to 21st to find PY, gave her the card and took a photo with her. we demanded a name card from her. haha.

went to 24th for our debriefing with ben. he told us about the scary pupillage splash and the dentist's chair. i dun think i can go through those.

after dat we went to 19th to return all the stationery and stuff. and stupid me forgot to give my access card and building pass back, so i had to go back up. wasted so much time.

went back down to 9th cuz i forgot to get a name card from JS!

after we finally finished everything, we (sarah, vim and me) went for coffee bean cakes. we sat there and talked an hour plus abt very insane stuff, like this really ridiculous divorce case in India. so hilarious.

thereafter, sarah and i took a walk along singapore river towards raffles city. the view was just beautiful. it made me feel so nostalgic about my days in drew and raffles place. such a wonderful experience filled with meaningful work and pleasant pple. i would definitely want to go back there if i have the chance.

went to church for maundy thursday service then went home to sleep.

good friday: went for morning service, home to rest awhile and then to ms kee's studio for aep gathering and my uncle's house for family gathering.

sat: went to teach piano at qmc, 9am till 3pm. came home to chill. blog, chat, read a book.

tmr's Easter! Jesus is alive! i must remember the great promises God has given to me and not worry so much about the things ahead.
