update for u, ffgm
it's always a pleasure to serve my blog readers n know dat they're happy to read my posts. haha. today im blogging for zark, becuz she's bored n demanded dat i blog. (note the rhyme)
okie so hell week is finally over. my nick on msn on mon was: if i can survive this week, i can survive ANYTHING.
i might have exaggerated, but i truly believe in that. haha at least at that moment when i wrote it. perhaps when one day im rushing a horrible court submission or having labour pain (noooo), i might think otherwise.
n so the week breezed through with the horrible 3-hour seminars of crim on tues, fri and the bane of my life, legal theory. so thankful dat im halfway through this sem (especially legal theory). with all respect to the legal theorists/ philosophers, i'll never be a legal philosopher. it just takes too much to grapple about n life is to be enjoyed in other ways. although hart and finnis and the other learned pple may find writing legal theory the joy and success of their life, i know for sure that it'll never be mine. i thank God for giving me other gifts and i praise God for giving these pple a gift dat i will never comprehend.
enough complaining abt legal theory, its actually rather interesting when u take it outside of class. e.g. dorea n i were discussing abt how christians are inclined towards natural law theory and how legal positivism is prevalent in societies today. n then there are issues like abortion and how judges should but are unable to separate their morality and beliefs from their decision making.
the tormenting lawr memorial was finally submitted last nite at 10.58 pm, one minute before deadline. ARGH. i dun even wanna go into detail on dat. i just know dat its really bad and im sorry for handing in such lousy work. i tried my best, but its still lousy. oh well.
attended pastor carol's wedding yday aftnn, had to skip g cube lecture. weddings are once in a lifetime, there won't be another one -- that's felix's reasoning dat convinced me to skip g cube lecture. im still deciding if i should go for tmr's g cube bible study. ARGH.
anyway today's sabbath, the day after lawr submission and the 1st day of mid sem break! YAY!!! met dorea, shermin, yanzhen n dan for lunch at soup spoon. yes fifi, soup spoon..i know u'll be glad u didnt come. then i bought mark gimenez's new book, the abduction. i've been waiting SO LONG for this book to come out. n we went starbucks after dat.
today i went to 2 places to get exam pieces for my piano students, but i was told dat all the books in cristofori and yamaha outlets have been sold out. ARGH. so i msged my piano tcher n he told me my old music school has stock. FINALLY got the books after running around. now im exhausted and STUPID NASTY COUGH HAS RAPED ME OF MY VOICE. I CAN HARDLY CROAK. :( :( :(
