thanksgiving and love, hong kong summer 2008$BlogItemTitle$>
It's been an amazing 1.5 months here in Hong Kong, and i cannot believe that i'm leaving in 3 days time.
My roommate was wailing in the middle of the night because she was upset that we're all going home soon. And i made the most insensitive, tactless comment trying to cheer her up (which can potentially throw me back to the School of Tact). I said, "well u can stay here, but we're all leaving". sorry bea, i thought you would laugh at that and stop crying. but instead, she started wailing n bawling her life out, in between sobs of laughter.
This great summer is going to end soon, and school is going to start. 3rd year of NUS. 3 more years to go till i graduate. i suddenly realized that time has past by so quickly and that i'm growing up so fast. From the start of summer till the end, it feels like one year filled with many eventful moments. My recee trip up Cameron highlands with anntic comm, my internship at ts oon & bazul, my 2 weeks of slacking before coming to Hong Kong...
I love summer holidays. They're full of excitement, friendships and time for me to just be myself. Time to put the books down, to sit in front of TV, play the piano, go mad with friends.
This summer has been especially special because half of it was spent here in Hong Kong. Save the studying part, I've had tons of fun exploring Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen with many wonderful and lovely people. I'm thankful to have a roommate who respects and make me feel comfortable "at home". Thanks bea, for being the dream roommate I could have ever wished for. Thanks for bearing with my crazy singing sessions and my private madness. I will miss you so so much, but i know we'll surely meet again someday...in san fran or spore or maybe hong kong again. i love love love u!
