AVRIL the best damn tour
okie quick post cuz i need to work on my cross examination script.
title is: Avril Lavigne's the Best Damn Tour
opening act was by this trashy sporean band called perfect boy/girl. didn't really catch their name. they were really horrible. their music was edging on unbearable after the first song. n the lead singer, this girl who had maggi mee hair n specs on, wearing a black tube prom dress with sneakers, asked the audience, "would u like to hear another song?" and the whole crowd cried "NO!!!" in horror and the band went on for another 6 songs.
i HAD faith in sporean bands but that band was just horrid. all their 6 songs had the same chords, progression, melody, sequence. the girl sang with that same tone of voice throughout the 30 mins. i would have gone home if it wasnt for avril. yes, as i told dorea, even my neighbour sings better in his bathroom. even the dogs' howling at night resonates better with the music that band was playing. (sorry, im being quite mean here.)
done with the worst band act i've ever seen in my entire life (21 years is a rather long time), we had to wait another 20-25 mins before avril came out. it seemed like they had some technical stage problem. we saw two guys climbing all the way up 3 storeys on a rope ladder to repair something on top. we were BORED n camwhored.
so avril came out singing "Girlfriend" and everyone went wild. she sang a couple of songs from her old albums like "Complicated", "My Happy ending", "I'm with you", "Don't tell me" and also new songs from the album. when she sang "When you're gone", i immediately thought of bea. but i was too high to be teary.
avril was very cute, bouncy and sweet. she was in tune and on beat for the songs. she also played the guitar, keyboard and drums. it was just a very energetic performance and the crowd atmosphere was great too. i enjoyed myself thoroughly, save for the lousy opening act.
