With that poll on my tagboard, we now know that i have a tiny readership. nonetheless, i have to keep up with my posts so that these loyal readers will be kept entertained.

today's topic is on AMERICAN IDOL results!

it was unbelievable that kris allen won! against all odds! who would have predicted that this regular guy would come up top, toppling over the powerful vocal house, a man who had a higher vocal range than me, adam glambert (that's what the critics call him).

i like both of them! i'm impressed by adam's powerful vocal control and i like kris's singer-songwriter swing n his cute boyish character, reminiscent of jason mraz.

My favourite performances from the two of them:

She works hard for her money
Heartless

Seeing how i have 3 fave performances from kris and only 2 from adam, i obviously wanted more for kris to win. another reason is that kris has been kept under the limelight and labelled as the dark horse, the underdog. american idol is about fulfilling one's dream. it would have been predictable for adam to take the crown, but we all love a story with a good ending. kris taking the crown would have made a more dramatic season finale and we all love a good surprise (shocker perhaps). the photo says it all!
